1. Payment and Deposits: Guest shall pay security deposit for damages and repairs. Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check in. No refunds given after that.
  2. Occupancy Limits: The maximum occupancy is 6 at any given time. This includes adults and children combined.
  3. Quiet Hours: 10pm-8:00am. Please, we love our permanent neighbors and we want to be on good terms with them. Outside amplified music is never allowed. If the police are called due to excessive noise or other disturbance the deposit from the renter will not be refunded. Be aware of your voice levels when out on the decks.
  4. CHECK IN is 3:00pm. Can be earlier if the cleaning crew can accommodate. Please contact property owner the day of arrival to confirm.
  5. CHECK OUT is 10:00am. We often cannot provide late checks out, but please contact the property owner and we will do our best to accommodate you.
  6. Smoking/Out Door Fires This is a non-smoking home/property and no outdoor fires are allowed. If evidence of smoking is noted, a fee will be assessed.
  7. WIFI: Log in and Password will be provided at the property.
  8. Pet Policy: We allow (3) well behaved pets.  The pet fee is non-refundable.  Pets must be contained in crates inside the house, provided by renter, if the renter leaves the house. We acknowledge that some families allow their pets on beds/furniture. PLEASE bring a CLEAN and hair-free blanket to put on top of our furniture or bedding. Excessive hair noted on beds or furniture will result in an extra charge upon check out.  Barking dogs must be stopped immediately. DO NOT leave pets unattended in back yard. We do have bears and coyotes that frequent our neighborhood. 
  9. Do not leave food in your car or on the deck areas. Bears will break into cars or climb onto the decks.
  10. Downstairs windows must be closed at night to prevent bears from entering the house.
  11. Use caution when pulling down the ladder to the loft. An adult should supervise any loft activity and ladder should be left down once in loft.
  12. Parking: Two parking spaces are provided in the car port. No parking is allowed on the street during snow removal conditions or between November 1st- May 1st
  13. No formal events may take place on the property. Our permit does not allow large public events
  14. Any fines from EL DORADO COUNTY FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE COUNTY CODES WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE RENTER.
  15. Should any violations of the Vacation Home Rental ordinance occur, fines may be imposed in accordance with El Dorado County Municipal Code (5.56.180 and 5.56.190
  16. Candles, fireworks or bonfires are strictly prohibited. Pine needles are highly flammable.
  17. During the winter months use caution on icy decks/stairs. 
  18. Indoor fireplace must never be left on when leaving the house.
  19. Due to typically mild temperatures, the cabin is not furnished with air conditioning, however, fans are located throughout the cabin.
  20. Trash: Use the trash compactor in the house since bear box space is limited.  Please use Bear Box located outside driveway when disposing of indoor trash. Do not leave trash on decks. Trash pick-up is Wednesday mornings.
  21. Guests should observe and adhere to all rules and policies as posted and supervise children at all times
  22. Excessive Wear and Tear: If excessive wear and tear is found in the home, or additional cleaning is necessary due to spills, trash, stains, or pet hair, the renter will be charged additional fees.
  23. Damages and Injury: Owner represents and warrants that the premises are clean, safe, sound and healthful and that there is no violation of any applicable house code, law or regulation of which Owner is aware. The guest is responsible for breakage and property damage due to their occupancy beyond normal wear. All damages to the home or property must be reported to Owner Lisa Aylor 916-203-8728

  25. Furnished Rental and Supplies: The Crystal Blue Chalet provides towels, linen, kitchen utensils and a starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels, soaps and trash bags. We do not supply food. Note: The bonus loft does not have a bed or linen. Bring sleeping bags if desired.
  26. The property has external cameras; however, they will be turned off upon your arrival.
